The Assembly working group and the BRA ecosystem are heading to Black Rock City to construct a temporary autonomous camp, digital archiving station, and interactive cultural installation at Burning Man 2026!
Assembly Pop-Up Camp & Open Archival Station at Burning Man 2026
As an independent, self-organized collective, we are bringing our interactive installation and digital archiving station directly to the Open Camping grid of Black Rock City!
Camp Format: Open Camping Hub & Interactive Pop-Up Installation.
Logistics: Our convoy (OC ➔ SF ➔ Reno) will enter together to secure a unified camp footprint on the Playa grid.
Your Role: Join our building crew, help set up our off-grid camp perimeter, or contribute to our mobile audio/video archive sessions during the event.
We are opening applications for both physical camp members and remote digital contributors.
🎯 Who We Are Looking For:
On-Site Camp Crew Roles: Camp builders, logistics managers, off-grid tech setup (solar/Starlink), camp kitchen/hospitality, and installation artists.
Can't make it to the Nevada desert? You can still be an official part of our expedition!
Remote Archival & Creative Crew (Virtual / Overseas) Roles: Digital archivists (processing daily Playa logs/photos), remote audio/video editors, social media coordinators, and digital content creators submitting art/stories to be displayed at our camp.

To build a successful temporary autonomous camp, our journey begins long before we hit the Dust. We are organizing a coordinated Assembly Caravan to unite camp members, builders, drivers, and participants — both those who already have Burning Man tickets and those still seeking them!
Whether you have space in your truck, need a ride, have a spare ticket, or are looking to join our ticket pool, this caravan is designed for mutual support, shared logistics, and seamless arrival.
📍 Caravan Route & Key Staging Hubs
Hub 1: Orange County (OC) — Launch & Southern CA Assembly
Focus: Initial equipment packing, Southern CA member pickup, shared cargo consolidation.
Hub 2: San Francisco / Bay Area — Northern CA Staging
Focus: Structural camp materials pickup, Bay Area builder team integration, final tech/solar checks.
Hub 3: Reno, NV — Major Supply & Water Stop
Focus: Final food and water logistics, vehicle fuel-up, ticket & vehicle pass matching, full convoy briefing.
Final Destination: Black Rock City (Playa)
Focus: Group Gate Entry, Placement spot setup, camp build-out.
