​Cook Park and Kyeemagh Beach Clean up

​Climate Writers is a grassroots community that brings people together to take practical climate action and build momentum for change. Alongside our monthly letter-writing sessions to politicians, we also value showing up locally — caring for the places we live, meet, and advocate from.

​To mark Clean Up Australia Day, we’re hosting a relaxed community clean-up at Cook Park and Kyeemagh Beach (Heidi has checked and it is a litter hotspot!). Join us for a few hours outdoors connecting with fellow climate-minded people while helping protect this beautiful local green space.

​No experience required — just turn up, pitch in, and be part of a community that believes climate action happens both locally and politically.

​What to bring:

• ​Closed-toe shoes

• ​Sun protection & water bottle

• ​Gloves if you have them (some equipment will be provided)

• ​Swimmers and a towel (if you want to go for a dip after!)

​Transport

• ​Parking and public transport options are available.

• ​For those catching public transport, Heidi and Eezu are able to do pick ups from Rockdale station as well. We'll make a Messenger groupchat closer to date to organise.

Everyone is welcome — bring a friend or come solo.
