Proverbs: How to Live Wisely
How can we make better decisions, build better relationships, and live with greater wisdom?
Every day, we make decisions that shape our lives. What should we pursue? Whom should we trust? When should we speak, and when should we remain silent? How should we handle anger, conflict, and temptation?
The Book of Proverbs offers thousands of years of practical wisdom about these questions.
In this Reading Club, we’ll explore what Proverbs teaches about good judgment, friendship, self-control, honesty, and character—and ask how we can put that wisdom into practice.
Questions we’ll explore:
How can we make wiser decisions?
How do we recognize good friends and avoid bad influences?
How can we better control our words, anger, and impulses?
What habits help us become wiser people?
What to expect
We’ll begin with a brief introduction to the text, followed by guided close reading and small-group discussions. The emphasis is on thinking together, asking questions, and applying ancient wisdom to our own lives.
No prior knowledge is required. Everyone is welcome.
