About Event

In a context of shrinking civic space, rising political volatility, and tighter resources, one question matters more than ever: how can advocacy still succeed?

On Tuesday, 19 May, Elodie Andrault and Sacha de Wijs are offering a free 90-minute online session (in English) for students and early-career professionals — with a focus on Europe.

This will be a practical, experience-driven session. We’ll cover:

• How to identify where power actually sits

• How to translate that into actionable advocacy strategies

• How to reach decision-makers who are traditionally hard to engage

• How to stay effective when capacity is shrinking

Come with one concrete question or challenge. The session will be structured around what participants bring.

About the hosts:

Elodie Andrault is a humanitarian leader and advocacy strategist with over 25 years of experience across the Middle East, Africa, Asia, and Europe. She has shaped UN and EU policy on civilian protection and humanitarian access, and teaches humanitarian action and advocacy at Sciences Po Paris.

Sacha de Wijs has spent over 15 years working on advocacy and campaign strategy in complex political environments — at the UN, EU, and across key capitals. He has led high-stakes campaigns at the intersection of conflict prevention, civilian protection, and political access.
