Building Deep Tech Supply Chains
Every breakthrough physical system — a quantum processor, a humanoid robot, a satellite, a bioreactor — can only move as fast as the supply chain and manufacturing behind it. The critical components come from a handful of suppliers, with materials and manufacturing scattered across the globe. For deep tech founders, the supply chain isn’t a back-office detail. It’s a core design decision that shapes whether the company survives.
So how do you build a resilient, venture-scale deep tech company today? Do you lean into global manufacturing for speed and lower capex, or hold control at the cost of both? And how do you get access to the right partners in the first place?
On Monday evening, Manifest brings together deep tech startups who’ve lived this firsthand, alongside the ecosystem partners who help them scale. We’ll get into the real tradeoffs such as cost vs. control, speed vs. sovereignty, and how each choice ripples into the product creation, capital, and the ability to scale. You’ll leave with a sharper view of how to design your own supply chain in an increasingly complex landscape.
Come talk manufacturing, supply chains, and hard tech, or just for good company and sharp conversation!
Hosted by Mary Lee (BS '26), Investor at Manifest Ventures, and current students Sophia Tabibian (BS '30) & Nate Luis (PhD).
Manifest Ventures is the bridge between North American deep tech founders and the resources of the Indo-Pacific. We back early-stage founders building the physical systems civilization runs on — energy, critical industries, AI, and robotics.
