PANEL DISCUSSION
Art has always taught — not by instruction, but by refusing to let certain things go unseen. This conversation brings together Singapore-based artists from CLEANSE whose practices make visible what civic life has learned to overlook: the labour of maintenance, the systems that determine what is preserved and what is erased, the bodies that absorb what institutions do not record.
In a city where cleanliness has long been policy, civic identity, and social expectation, what does it mean to make art from the inside of that condition? And what kind of knowledge does artistic practice offer that other forms of inquiry cannot? Debbie Ding, Alecia Neo, Milenko Prvački, Wang Ruobing, and Wong Zi Hao discuss selected works from the exhibition, their creative processes, and the particular pressures that shaped them.
