AgriTech Nordic 2026
AgriTech Nordic is the biggest gathering of agrifoodtech startups in the Nordics and this year it takes place on one of Europe's leading agricultural test arenas.
Mære Agricultural College isn't a conference venue. It's a working farm that has been developing and testing agricultural technology for decades. When we say you'll see innovation here, we mean it literally! In the barn, in the greenhouse, in the machine hall and in the field.
Programme 13 October
11:00 — Welcome to Mære
We open at one of Norway's most important arenas for agricultural research and development. A short welcome, then straight into the conversation.
11:15 — Nordic AgriFoodTech in 2026
Where does the sector actually stand, and does anyone outside the Nordics care? Leading voices from the Nordics are joined by John Carrigan, Investment Director at Yield Lab Europe, one of the few European funds that invests exclusively in agrifoodtech. Expect a straight conversation about what is working, where the money is going, and what it takes for a Nordic company to be fundable.
12:30 — TechSafari (choose your track)
Four tracks, all running simultaneously across Mære's production environments. You don't watch just hear presentations about innovation, but walk through it.
Energy on the farm (main hall) — Hear how companies are rethinking how farms generate, store and use energy. One of the most pressing cost questions in agriculture right now.
Methane, animal welfare & smart cattle farming (live barn)
A deep session on some of the hardest problems in livestock production: reducing emissions whilst improving welfare. Ambient Carbon and BoviWalk present their solutions alongside researchers and industry organisations. The Nordic innovation walk (machine hall & greenhouse, 12:30–13:15) — A curated walk-through with 20 Nordic companies. Robotics, sensors, drones, alternative inputs. Founders present their technology on the spot.
Greenhouse, tunnel & open-field technology (greenhouse, 13:15–14:30) — Innovative companies working on more efficient and sustainable plant production. Robotics, growing media, biostimulants, alternatives to plastic.
14:30 — Coffee break
14:45 — Vitaliy Skotsyk & the contamination of Ukrainian farmland
Vitaliy leads IGSM and CE-Lab in Ukraine. He will address one of Europe's most urgent and underreported crises, what war does to agricultural land, and what it takes to grow food again afterwards. He is joined by researchers, technology companies and organisations working on decontamination and landmine detection in active conflict zones.
16:00 — Dinner from Trøndelag
We close around tables. Food prepared by Mære's food hub — local ingredients, honest cooking from the region that surrounds us. A good place to finish a conversation you started in the barn.
