soldering jewelry w/ @rawhoneylover
Transform visual art you love into wearable pieces. Working with collage cut-outs, glass, and lead-free solder, you’ll create one-of-a-kind metal reliquary adornments or wall hangings that encase found imagery. You’ll learn how to measure artwork to fit flat glass panels, design a layout, apply copper tape and flux, and safely use a soldering iron. The class also introduces essential jewelry-making techniques using tools including as pliers and jump rings.
You’ll leave with a unique metal collage jewelry piece or wall hanging. This beginner-friendly experience is ideal for anyone curious about metalwork or interested in alternative approaches to jewelry-making.
