Retail Explorers Presents Showing Up Fully: A Honest Conversation about Mental Health
Showing Up Fully: A Honest Conversation about Mental Health
During Mental Health Awareness Month, RWIT is creating space for something we don’t discuss enough: mental health challenges.
Join RWIT founder, Shannon Flanagan, for a deeply personal conversation as she shares her own experiences navigating mental health, vulnerability, and identity, both in and outside of her career.
This conversation is rooted in what RWIT stands for:
* Showing up as our true selves, not just the shiny parts* Creating brave and safe spaces to be vulnerable
* Giving back, by sharing our own stories, is how we grow.
When we speak openly, we give others permission to do the same. One conversation can change a life.
This isn’t a discussion about having it all figured out. It’s about showing up anyway and reminding each other that we don’t have to do it alone.
Shannon has spent her 30 year career bridging retail, consulting and tech, with leadership roles at Gap Inc., Lands’ End, Macy’s, Accenture, Slalom, Talkdesk and Writer. She has built her career inside some of the industry’s most complex organizations and now uses that experience to help people navigate through life with more clarity, confidence, and conviction. As the Founder and CEO of Retail Women in Tech, she has turned a community into a growing movement focused on visibility, belonging, and driving parity in the industry by 2030. Her upcoming book, Choose - Don’t Chase - Your Career, gives women a way to stop reacting out of fear or optics and start making intentional moves that fit the life and career they want. She is a mental health advocate serving on the UN Global Mental Health Taskforce and on the board of the non-profit PEERS. As an author, speaker and community builder, her personal mission is to create the conditions for everyone to thrive.Retail Women in Tech is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
