Security at Machine Speed: AWS x CyLab Mixer
Closing out CyLab Partners Conference week? Join the leaders of AWS Security and Startups and Carnegie Mellon CyLab for a relaxed happy hour over drinks and bites.
CMU CyLab is one of the largest security and privacy research institutes in the world, and the work coming out of it is helping define where the field goes next, from the Cyber Autonomy Initiative to AI-driven defense, hardware trust, applied cryptography, and privacy engineering. The move toward cyber autonomy, where systems reason about, detect, and respond to threats with far less human intervention, is some of the most exciting frontier research in security today.
It is a direction the industry is moving in too. AWS recently introduced Continuum, an AI-native security platform that works across the vulnerability lifecycle at machine speed, a glimpse of where autonomous security is headed in practice.
This is an informal evening to connect with people working at that frontier: researchers, founders, faculty, and the AWS team, swapping ideas on autonomous security, where the field is heading, and the research and companies taking shape in Pittsburgh. If you are building a company, it is also a chance to learn how AWS supports startups: CyLab Venture Network startups can access up to $25,000 in AWS credits, along with hands-on technical guidance and the broader resources of the AWS Startups program to help turn research into real products.
Leaders of the AWS Security and Startups teams, including Eli Fisher, Baris Coskun, Alec Greaves-Tunnell, and Harshvardhan Chunawala, will be there and happy to talk shop. Great security starts with great research, so let us get them in one room.
Who should come: PhD students, postdocs, faculty, researchers, and startup founders from the CyLab and broader CMU community.
Space is limited, so please RSVP. Food and drinks are on us. We look forward to seeing you there.
