About the Speakers and Moderator:
Sara Fedullo, Co-Founder and CEO, Hollo Medical
Sara Fedullo is a Dalhousie Engineering alumna, engineer, and entrepreneur with a background in Chemical and Process Engineering and is the Co-Founder and CEO of Hollo Medical. Her experience working with 3D-printed radiotherapy solutions motivated her to pursue medical device development and regulatory management. At Hollo, Sara leads the implementation of an ISO 13485–compliant Quality Management System while fostering structured product development and strong team growth, advancing patient-centred innovation in respiratory care.
Dr. David Hodgson, Co-Founder and CMO, Hollo Medical
Dr. David Hodgson is the co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Hollo Medical, a company focused on developing next-generation respiratory devices to enhance patient care. A graduate of Dalhousie University, Dr. Hodgson has a diverse background in both medicine and innovation, with a passion for improving healthcare outcomes through technology. His work at Hollo Medical, alongside co-founder Sara Fedullo, has earned significant recognition for tackling the challenges in respiratory medicine with cutting-edge solutions. A dedicated physician and visionary entrepreneur, Dr. Hodgson combines his clinical expertise with a drive for innovation, making him a key voice in the conversation about the future of healthcare.
Moderator: Dr. Kerry Goralski
Dr. Goralski is the Associate Dean of Research in Dalhousie University’s Faculty of Health and a Professor in the College of Pharmacy, with cross‑appointments in Pharmacology and Hematology/Oncology at the IWK Health Centre. A Senior Scientist with the Beatrice Hunter Cancer Research Institute, his research spans pharmacokinetics, pharmacogenomics, drug metabolism, and cancer pharmacology. Dr. Goralski’s work has advanced understanding of jadomycin as a potential therapy for multidrug‑resistant breast cancer, clarified how inflammation alters drug transport and metabolism, and contributed to identifying genetic biomarkers of adverse drug reactions in pediatric oncology. His discovery of chemerin as an adipokine helped launch new exploration into obesity and metabolic disease. Through leadership roles in major pharmacology societies, he continues to shape innovation in drug safety and therapeutic development.
