Three Israelis who switched into AI security and now work in the field full-time, from abroad, share their careers and their choices: how they got in, why they bet on it, and what they'd do now if they were in your shoes.

Asher Brass Gershovich, AI Security Researcher at RAND
Before RAND, Asher was a Senior Researcher on the compute policy team at the Institute for AI Policy and Strategy (IAPS), and Head of the Cyber Analysis Team at Cynerio. He served as a cybersecurity officer in Unit 8200 and as a Senior Technological Researcher at the Israeli Prime Minister's Office. Asher is also a co-founder of Heron AI Security.
Guy P., Member of Technical Staff at the Security Level 5 Task Force
Before SL5, Guy worked as an HPC chip engineer, vulnerability researcher and R&D project lead. He also wrote a musical about AI, Out of This Box: The Last Musical (Written by Humans).
Ariel Gil, Senior Research Manager at Pivotal Research
Ariel co-founded and co-led the AI Standards Lab, which helped shape the EU AI Act implementation and the EU GPAI Code of Practice. Before that, he was a mechatronics engineer in ophthalmic surgery robotics.
