Disability Innovation Lab: Building Accessible Futures
What if the most overlooked talent pool in America is also your region's greatest untapped economic opportunity?
Join us in Kansas City on March 19, 2026 for a one-day convening hosted by 2Gether-International — the leading startup accelerator run by and for Disabled Entrepreneurs, in partnership with the Kauffman Foundation and the Kansas City Disability Council.
Why now?
People with disabilities represent 1 in 4 Americans, yet we receive 0% of global venture capital. Over 1.8 million Disabled Entrepreneurs are building businesses today without the capital, networks, or institutional support they need to scale. That's not a social problem. That's a massive market failure with extraordinary upside for the investors and ecosystems will to move first.
Companies that invest in Disability inclusion see 53% higher shareholder returns (Accenture, 2018). Kansas City has the geography, the institutional anchors, and now — through 2GI's grant funding across Kansas and Missouri — the resources to lead.
We'll be holding sessions on:
- Unlocking the $13 Trillion Disability Market Opportunity
- Kansas City as a Hub for Inclusive Innovation
- Breaking Barriers Workshop: Real Progress in Disability Entrepreneurship
- ABLE Accounts, Disability Benefits, and Financial Freedom Strategies, led by Sara Hart Weir from the Kansas City Disability Council.
This event is free and open to all Disabled Founders, investors, corporate leaders, policymakers, philanthropy leaders, ecosystem builders, and regional business institutions ready to act.
