What happens when a poem becomes a bouquet? When a painting becomes a story? When an archetype is translated into color, texture, and form?
Join Nightlight Society for The Alchemy of Art Salon, the culminating workshop of our season exploring how creative expression transforms as it moves across mediums.
Throughout The Alchemy of Art, we've followed ideas as they shift shape: from literature to film, image to music, myth to modern retelling. For this final gathering, we'll move from interpretation into creation and experiment with that transformation ourselves.
Guests will begin with a work or prompt drawn from literature, poetry, visual art, and mythology, then—with guidance from floral designers—translate it into flowers, using color, texture, shape, symbolism, and composition to capture its emotional and imaginative world.
From there, we'll take the experiment one step further: using the finished arrangement as the starting point for a second creative translation. A bouquet might become a poem, a song, a sketch, a character, a scene, or a story.
Think salon x workshop x creative experiment. The Alchemy of Art Salon is an opportunity to experience art as living...something that changes as it passes through a new medium and another person's imagination.
No artistic or floral experience is necessary.

Dietary restrictions & allergies
Let us know about allergies or dietary restrictions when you RSVP and we'll do what we can. We're working with small venues and small kitchens — we'll accommodate what we can, but we can't promise a space entirely free of any given ingredient. If your allergy is serious, plan accordingly.
Alcohol
The event is 21+ as the evening includes wine. Please bring an ID and please drink responsibly.
Tickets, refunds & transfers
Tickets are non-refundable but transferable — can't make it? Email us if you would like to send someone in your place.
Photography
Our brilliant photographer Kailee Welp will be capturing the event. By attending, you're agreeing that we may photograph or record the event and use it across channels. Would rather not appear? Tell us at check-in, and we'll keep you out of frame.

You're attending at your own discretion. Nightlight Society and our venue and vendor partners aren't liable for injury, loss, or damage to personal property during the event.
