The Planetary Commons: A StoryWorld Simulation
The old systems are fraying.
Climate shocks are escalating. Geopolitical tensions are rising. Existing institutions are struggling to respond at the speed and scale this moment demands.
In response, a new gathering has emerged: the Planetary Commons Council — a speculative global forum convened to navigate a world in transition.
This experience invites you into that unfolding StoryWorld.
Across a series of 6 live, interactive sessions, a small cohort will step into an evolving future scenario—responding to emerging signals, navigating difficult trade-offs, and co-creating artifacts that explore what more just, cooperative, and life-centered futures could look like.
This is not your typical workshop.
It is a participatory StoryWorld: an interactive simulation.
What to Expect
Together, participants will:
Respond to emergent climate and geopolitical scenario “signals”
Explore futures and foresight tools to make sense of uncertainty and complexity
Collaborate in small groups to design responses, systems, and speculative artifacts
Contribute to a shared narrative world that unfolds over time
See your ideas reflected in published dispatches and final StoryWorld outputs
Each session builds on the last and blends immersive briefings, collaborative decision-making, creative worldbuilding, and group reflection.
No prior experience with foresight or simulations is required—just curiosity, openness, and a willingness to engage.
