Artist Talk | The Process of Making
Saturday, October 31, 2026
3–5 PM
itsOK Studios
468 Queen St. W, Toronto
What can the act of making reveal about the materials we work with, the objects we live in, and the ways we move through the world?
Join us Saturday, October 31 for a conversation between KAYBUL founder Kayla Bullen and exhibiting artist Shannon Sandwell, moderated by curator Emilie Croning. Together, they’ll explore the ideas, processes, and material experiments that shape their practices, considering the intersections of art, design, and everyday life.
The Process of Making brings KAYBUL into dialogue with Toronto-based artists Shannon Sandwell, Ernesto Cabral de Luna, Daria Khosravi, and Mehriniso Mustafoeva. Across diverse mediums, the exhibition explores making as a process of discovery, where materials are transformed and familiar forms take on new meaning.
Come spend the afternoon with us for an engaging conversation about creative practice, experimentation, and the ideas that emerge through making.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Accessibility note: The exhibition is located on itsOK Studios' second floor and can only be accessed by stairs. We recognize this may present a barrier for some visitors.
