Homemade Jam – Vibe Coding Night
Homemade is a social coding jam in Cologne where we use AI to turn ideas into working prototypes in a single evening.
It's built for people who aren't developers — product people, marketing, ops, analysts, freelancers, teachers, anyone with a small problem in their working day and no dev team to hand it to. That said, nobody gets turned away. If you write code for a living and just want to build something silly for two hours, you'll fit right in.
Use whatever AI tools you like: ChatGPT, Claude, Lovable, Cursor, Replit, whatever you already have open.
Format
Everyone builds their own thing. Bring an idea, or find one in the first ten minutes — we'll start with a quick round where everyone names the thing that annoyed them most at work last week. That's usually all it takes.
From there it's heads-down building, side by side. Pair up with someone if you want, but nobody has to. The rule is simple: when you're stuck, ask the room. That's what everyone else is there for.
Never done this before?
That's the default here, not the exception. You'll get a short starter guide with example prompts and a few tips, and there'll be people around all evening to ask. You don't need to prepare anything.
Schedule
Doors open at 18:45 so we can settle in and start on time.
→ 19:00 Welcome, what we're doing tonight
→ 19:05 Quick round: what annoyed you at work last week
→ 19:15 Round 1: build
→ 19:50 Break – grab a drink, swap notes
→ 20:05 Round 2: keep building
→ 20:35 Optional demos
→ 20:50 Hang out
→ 21:00 Wrap up
What to bring
Laptop, charger, and an account with an AI tool of your choice. If you don't have one, say so beforehand and we'll sort it out on the night.
What you'll leave with
Something that runs. Not finished, not pretty, but running.
No pressure, no gatekeeping. Just good people, fast building, and a room where nobody asks whether you understand every line of code.
Spots are limited — I want to actually talk to everyone the first time round.
