​Wander & Converse: A Curated Afternoon of Art in West Chelsea

​Remember the best field trips? Good company, a little adventure, snacks in hand, and no one rushing you along. This is that, for grown-ups, with much better art. Join us for a curated afternoon of art and great people in West Chelsea and on the High Line.

​WHO YOU'LL MEET
A small group of the culturally curious: accomplished people from different corners of New York life, including finance, media, the arts, founders, and philanthropy. Some collect seriously, some are just starting to wonder how. What they share is a love of art, a sense of adventure, and a real interest in meeting someone new. Come solo, bring a date, or bring a friend. You'll leave knowing people.

​CONVENE
We'll kick things off with a private tour of Olney Gleason Gallery, led by co-founder Eric Gleason, who'll take us behind the scenes on how the gallery discovers and champions its artists, and share his thoughts on the art of acquisition.

​WANDER
Then it's off to explore in small groups. Meander through West Chelsea's galleries and along the High Line at your own pace, keeping an eye out for the pieces that make you laugh, spark a friendly debate, or stir up a memory you didn't see coming. No keeping score, no stopwatches. We'll provide you with snacks and water to keep you going as you explore.

​CONVERSE
We'll close the day with Nancy Hoffman Gallery all to ourselves. Suzanne Gyorgy of Emigrant Bank Fine Art Finance will share a short talk on the business of collecting. Trade favorite finds during a private reception worth lingering over, and toast the day with your fellow Wanderers.
