Dante's Hifi Presents: Parallels closing party
On October 8th, Parallels, the music series curated by Jaime Fiorito, returns to Dante’s HiFi Ibiza for its season closing — a special all-vinyl session bringing together three selectors with a shared love for deep, eclectic and uncompromising music.
The evening will begin from 8PM to 10PM with Mezcalearics, the duo formed by Galo Tonella and Matías Romano, whose shared passion for records has developed into one of Ibiza’s most distinctive musical collaborations. Tonella, founder of Ojo de Isla and a dedicated vinyl collector, and Romano, chef and founder of Hämbre, have been playing together for several years, constantly pushing each other’s collections in different directions. Their approach moves freely through Balearic, disco, soul, jazz, Latin sounds, cosmic grooves and obscure gems, embracing the kind of open-ended musical journey that sits naturally within the Parallels philosophy.
To accompany the opening session, Ojo de Isla will offer a complimentary welcome cocktail, bringing together the worlds of music, mezcal and Ibiza that sit at the heart of the project. Created in Oaxaca and inspired by the spirit of the Mediterranean island, Ojo de Isla produces artisanal mezcal in small batches using agaves matured in the mountains of Oaxaca.
Leading the night is Natasha Diggs, the New York-based DJ, selector and founder of the legendary Soul in the Horn parties. Diggs has spent decades digging through the worlds of soul, funk, jazz, disco, hip-hop, Afrobeat and beyond, becoming known for her deeply eclectic selections and her ability to connect different musical eras and cultures through the dancefloor. Her sets are rooted in vinyl culture and in the art of digging for records, making her a natural fit for the Parallels philosophy.
Joining her is Jaime Fiorito, Ibiza-based DJ and one of the island’s most respected musical figures, whose eclectic approach and deep knowledge of the island’s underground history have made him a defining presence in Ibiza’s musical landscape. Fiorito’s selections move freely between genres and eras, reflecting the open-ended musical spirit that has defined Parallels throughout the season.
Completing the lineup is Julian Reca, Ibiza-based DJ, producer and Dante’s HiFi resident. Deeply involved in the island’s current musical scene, Reca’s approach is shaped by a love for eclectic sounds, vinyl culture and the dialogue between soul, disco, jazz, funk, house and leftfield music. As a resident at Dante’s HiFi Ibiza, he has become part of the venue’s ongoing exploration of selector-driven music and the culture of the sound system.
For the closing of the season, Parallels returns to its essence: a vinyl-led journey beginning with Mezcalearics, followed by three selectors, one sound system, and an entire night dedicated to records — with a complimentary Ojo de Isla welcome cocktail to set the tone from the very beginning.
