About Event

Few environments place greater pressure on assessment than the NFL Combine. High stakes, limited data windows, intense scrutiny, and meaningful consequences demand rigor, consistency, and defensible judgment—conditions that increasingly mirror senior leadership assessment in today’s organizations.

What We’ll Explore Together

This interactive session will draw on lessons from the NFL Combine to examine what strong assessment looks like when the cost of getting it wrong is high. Harold Goldstein, Ken Yusko, and Charles Scherbaum—experts in psychological assessment and creators of the award-winning Sienna Reasoning test—have been administering their Player Assessment Test (PAT) to all participants at the NFL Combine since 2013. They will be sharing principles and tradeoffs from their learnings that translate directly to leadership and talent assessment: balancing data and judgment, managing bias and noise, and ensuring assessments remain fair, credible, and useful under pressure.

This session is open to invited guests. TMC members are welcome to extend an invitation to a peer who would benefit from the conversation.
