โ๐ง๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ is a ongoing program initiated by zug press to support women artists across Asia and beyond. Beginning as a printed publication, it extends into artist talk, workshop, exhibition, and sharing experiences that are accessible to the publicโas ways of communication.
โFor ๐๐๐๐๐ก ๐๐จ๐จ๐ช๐ 1: ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐ Book Launch, ยฝ of zug, Zhu Gaocanyue ๆฑ้ซ็ฟๆ @zhu_gaocanyue will introduce the vision of zug press. Another ยฝ of zug, Zuya Yang @miukiia will join us virtually, sharing what ๐ง๐ถ๐ฑ๐ฎ๐น ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ท๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ values, as well as ways to get involved. Artists Allie Tsubota @aatsubo and Tif Ng @tif_ng will share their projects featured in the book, followed by an open conversation with the audience.

๐ About the Book
๐๐๐๐๐ก: ๐๐๐ค๐ง๐๐ก๐๐ฃ๐, traces the shifting boundary between land and sea, using this imagery to explore the fluidity of histories, identities, memories and representations. By Reimagining photography as a site of resistance and care, this issue gathers artists who work with archives that drift between the weight of history and the triviality of domestic life. โzug press is an artist collective focused on independent publishing. Driven by passion, experimentation, multidisciplinarity, and collaboration, zug press approaches publishing as a site of care, craft, and play, extending its practice into forms of community engagement, editorial work and curatorial research. zug press is founded by Zhu Gaocanyue and Zuya Yang and based in Brooklyn, NY, Providence, RI and Hong Kong.
โ๐ Speakers
โZhu Gaocanyue ๆฑ้ซ็ฟๆ is 1/2 of zug press, a visual artist and educator whose research-driven, multidisciplinary practice focuses on printed matter, installations, and the artist book. Zhu Gao holds an MFA in Photography from the Rhode Island School of Design.
โZuya Yang is 1/2 of zug press, a lens-based artist based in Hong Kong. Her practice examines landscape as an ongoing process emerging from the entanglement of human actions, non-human agencies, historical forces and cultural paradigms. She is joining us virtually.
โAllie Tsubota (she/her) is an artist exploring intersections of race, visuality, and the formation of historical memory. Her work joins photography, video, photographic and cinematic archives, and text to examine the role of visual spectatorship across racialized space and collapsed historical time. Tsubota holds an MFA in Photography from Rhode Island School of Design and is presently an Assistant Professor of Photography at Parsons School of Design.
โTif Ng is a Cantonese-American photographer, artist, and cultural worker based in New York City. Her artistic and photographic practice explores myth-making, themes of belonging, Chinese celebratory and mourning rituals, and her own familyโs archives and histories. She currently works as the Programs Coordinator at Magnum Foundation. She has curated exhibitions at Paris Photo, Photoville, and in grassroots organizing spaces across NYC. Her work is deeply rooted in community engagement and cultural storytelling.
