Fireside with Co-Founder of Float and Operations Manager for Lime
What does it take to build a world class company on home soil?
Join us for a fireside chat with Ruslan Nikolaev, cofounder of Float, and Arnaud, Operations Manager for Lime in Vancouver. As a computer science student at Waterloo, Ruslan was told the only way to build great products was to move to the US. Instead, he started Float in Toronto in 2019. Today, Float powers corporate cards, business accounts, payments and spend management for more than 10,000 Canadian businesses, and has been named to The Globe and Mail’s list of Canada’s Top Growing Companies three years in a row.
Arnaud leads Lime’s local operations in Vancouver, spanning fleet deployment, station readiness, logistics and compliance. He works closely with city stakeholders and cross functional teams to keep shared mobility safe and reliable, turning operational challenges into practical solutions that improve the rider experience. Before Lime, he founded and ran an innovative tea company in Vancouver for more than 10 years, selling into more than 1,000 stores and leading the way in beverage innovation and social impact.
Moderated by Joel Hansen and Kallisté Grissa, this candid conversation goes behind the scenes of building a company from the ground up, from the early days of a big idea to scaling through growth, change and challenge.
