​A whole term in. What did it actually give you back, and what did it quietly take?

​One evening of honest accounting on workload, attention, and craft, before anyone writes a policy about any of it.

​The novelty has worn off. So has the panic.

​By the third month of a school year you know things you did not know in September. You know which AI habits stuck and which ones you dropped after a week. You know what genuinely bought you an hour back, and you know the thing that looked like a shortcut and cost you a whole evening of cleanup.

​Nobody is collecting that. The vendor decks are not going to tell you, and neither is the district memo. It only exists in the heads of people doing the work.

​So we are going to put it on the table and add it up together.

​Bring the thing that gave you time back. Bring the thing that ate the time you saved. Bring the task you handed over and quietly took back. Bring the part of your craft you are not willing to automate.

​We will keep both columns open. This is not a session about whether AI is good. It is a session about what it costs and what it returns, in this term, in this room, for these people.

​The questions on the table:

​Who ED + AI is

​ED + AI is a monthly AI and education gathering hosted with big love by Ethọ́s Lab × BC + AI.

​We are here to weave practical tools with ethical guardrails so classrooms, after-school programs, community labs, and learning spaces can adapt without losing the human core: relationships, curiosity, confidence, care, and agency.

​Who belongs

​Educators (K to 12 and post-secondary), students, parents and caregivers, youth-program leads, librarians, mentors, researchers, artists, designers, EdTech builders, and all curious neighbours welcome.

​If you see learning as public infrastructure and teaching as a creative act, you are home.
