The moon pulls the tides, and drown in the waves it creates.
We, too, are constantly moving between closeness and distance, fullness and emptiness, longing and loss.
Sometimes, we drown in the very things we desire.
We long for intimacy, only to suffocate in its embrace. We yearn for wholeness, yet cannot bear the weight of being full. We wish to be understood, yet fear being seen completely.
