This high-level panel discussion will bring together stakeholders to discuss with policymakers how food processing can help consumers lead healthier and more sustainable diets fit for their specific lifestyles while separating the facts from fiction in the ‘ultra-processed’ debate. We will also hear how leading food and drink companies are helping consumers access more nutritious and balanced diets.

The session includes an opening keynote from Michalis Hadjipantela MEP, then a moderated panel discussion and an audience Q&A.

Meet our speakers:

  • Dr. Marlou Lasschuijt PhD (Assistant Professor in Clinical Eating Behaviour, Nutrition and Physiology, Wageningen University & Research)

  • Luigi Tozzi (Deputy Director, Safe Food EU)

  • Lauren Woodley (Head of Nutrition & Sensory Science, Nomad Foods)

  • Nashmil Emami (Head of Applied Nutrition, Chief Nutritionist R&D, Nestlé)

Lunch will be served at the conclusion of the panel.
