AWS re:Invent Pre-Keynote Breakfast
No Sales. Just Baguettes, My Cloud, and Mes Amis.
Join Corey Quinn (Co-Founder, Duckbill Group), Mike Julian (Co-Founder, Duckbill Group) and Josh Patterson (Patterson Consulting) for a complimentary breakfast at the Mon Ami Gabi restaurant.
Look, we get it. Andy Jassy handed off keynote duties to Matt Garman, and while Matt’s a perfectly lovely human being who’s great at parties, watching AWS executives announce things for two hours requires proper fortification.
You wouldn’t climb Everest without oxygen. You wouldn’t watch a timeshare presentation without coffee. And you sure as hell shouldn’t watch a re:Invent keynote on an empty stomach.
What you get:
A proper meal
Coffee. Lots of coffee.
The company of other people who are bracing themselves for the keynote
Conversation that doesn’t require you to pretend you’re excited about another database option
You need fuel. Real fuel. Not whatever sad continental breakfast situation is happening at your hotel. Not a protein bar you grabbed from a 7-Eleven on the walk over. Actual food, consumed while sitting down, surrounded by people who understand that the correct response to most AWS announcements is “okay but how much does it cost?”
