Lunar Ignition is a private ceremonial celebration welcoming the Year of the Fire Horse: held in a carefully curated, lantern-lit sanctuary for close friends, collaborators, and kindred spirits.
This is not a public party.
For generations, Spring Festival has been the moment when Chinese families return from far and wide to share a table, mark time, and come home to one another. You’re receiving this invitation because you are part of our found family.
Attendance is limited and by invitation only.
We gather in a gorgeous private venue in Kensington, transformed for the evening with glowing lanterns, warmth, and quiet ritual. The space includes a communal cedar sauna, a standing cedar hot tub, and a cold plunge, offering the option to move between fire and water, heat and stillness, throughout the night.
The evening unfolds as a living ritual of sound, nourishment, and shared presence, featuring:

Shane Thunder is a master sound alchemist with over 14 years of experience. His signature sound journey is a blend of science and mysticism curated to provide healing for a multitude of physical, mental, and emotional challenges.

Xiao Zhang is an active pipa musician in San Francisco, rooted in traditional Chinese music but known for her versatile and expressive style. She will be performing as part of a cello and pipa duo this evening.

Phoenix Mei Ma is a visionary creator, musician, and spiritual facilitator devoted to awakening the feminine heart and restoring harmony on Earth. As founder of SHE Living Ministry, she weaves community, ritual, artistry, and media to support personal transformation and collective remembrance.

Bench will be playing a spiritual downtempo set for Lunar New Year—asian layers, warm grooves, textured percussion, and meditative melodies that create a calm, grounded energy in the room. This is music for being together: less about spectacle, more about shared space, conversation, and easing into the night.
