Would you let AI choose your next partner?
This lecture examines how AI algorithms attempt to understand humans, focusing on the complexities of attraction beyond mere preferences.
It explores matchmaking through dating apps as a lens to question what it means to truly understand a person. Using live examples, and audience participation, the session investigates how large language models interpret profiles and suggest matches, highlighting their limitations in decoding human connection.

Violetta Postma
Raised in a household of award-winning journalists & writers, she published her first book at fifteen, but don't expect a typical academic. She’s a former thrash metal vocalist, a radio DJ, and a fashion blogger who transitioned from the mosh pit to the boardroom as a tech-savvy entrepreneur and medical company CEO.
From analyzing the latest "vibes" as an avid meme collector, to navigating the nuances of scent and fashion, or interpreting the silence between words, She doesn’t just study human interaction; she’s mastered it across continents and industries.
