About Event

The Human Sciences Research Centre, IIIT-H, and the Privacy Camp Initiative are collaborating to celebrate International Data Privacy Day by hosting Privacy Camp ’26. The event will feature discussions on data protection, cybersecurity, digital rights, and privacy, and will be held on the evening of 28th January 2025 at N-119, Saranga Hall, IIIT Hyderabad.

Privacy Camp is a space for awareness and advocacy on digital privacy, cybersecurity, and data protection — increasingly relevant amid emerging laws like India’s Digital Personal Data Protection framework and global trends in data governance. It serves both educational and community-building roles for anyone concerned about how data and privacy intersect with technology and society.

For this edition, two young speakers from the community will walk us through developments in the cyber world, sharing insights into the world of Finance and cybercrime.
