Humanitarian in Tech
Humanitarian in Tech Masterclass is a virtual session under the Africa Forward initiative by Momentum Labs, delivered in partnership with the Victoria Falls Regional Institute.
This masterclass explores how technology can be applied to humanitarian response, social impact, and development work across Africa. It brings together technologists, humanitarian practitioners, researchers, and young professionals interested in building practical, tech-enabled solutions for real-world challenges.
Participants will gain insights from experienced practitioners working at the intersection of technology, innovation, and humanitarian action, with opportunities for discussion and knowledge exchange.
Following the masterclass, participants will take part in a hackathon beginning immediately after the session and running through to Monday at 3:00 PM. Teams will work on impact-focused challenges, with cash prizes awarded and winners announced on Tuesday.
