Hacktoberfest Meetup Failproof AI
Our event is a technical roundtable on open source solutions for running AI workers reliably in production. AI workers (autonomous agents that call tools, run long tasks, and act on real systems) are moving from demos into production, and the infrastructure to run them dependably is still being worked out in the open. The roundtable brings practitioners together to map that stack and the OSS projects filling each layer.
We will run it in three parts:
Framing (about 15 minutes): a short setup of what a reliable AI worker stack needs, covering orchestration, observability and tracing, guardrails and policy enforcement, durability and retries, and evaluation.
Roundtable (60 to 75 minutes): a facilitated discussion where practitioners compare the open source tools they use at each layer, where the gaps are, and what is worth building. It is led by people who work on agent reliability infrastructure day to day.
Hacktoberfest contribution (45 minutes): attendees pick relevant OSS projects, triage good first issues together, and open pull requests on the spot, with experienced contributors helping newcomers land their first merged PR.
Everyone leaves with a clearer map of the open source AI infrastructure landscape and at least one contribution in progress.
