Local Hub Barcelona: Humanizing workplaces through community building

​​​​Welcome to our kick-off event for our new series: Humanizing workplaces through L&D! We'll be hosted by GroundInn LAB - where ideas can ground and grow. This space in the center of Barcelona is designed for entrepreneurs, freelancers and community builders.

Maybe you're running learning programs with peer-to-peer learning, engaging with Employee Resource Groups or communities of practice? Whether you are a community builder, an intrapreneur or a 1-person L&D team - connection and engagement happen by design.

​So what can we do to foster connection and engagment, build community and decrease those silos at work as Learning & Development professionals?

We’ll start with a guided activity to connect with your purpose this evening as well as with others. Or maybe reconnect if it's been a long time since you've seen other Shakers due to the holidays.

Speaking of community - we want to walk the talk. That's why we'll be diving into your stories, challenges & best case practices in an interactive format and tapping into our collective knowledge and experience to learn together. So please feel free to bring your experiences with community building, the questions that you really want answers for and an open ear for others' challenges.

Expect lots of interaction and plenty of space for your challenges with community building, topped off with reflection and peer learning.

✨ Meet our facilitators

Mariaeladia de Moya Cuello is a Community, Impact and Learning Culture Lead that partners strategically with community builders and bridges people, place and planet. She's working as a Community & Impact Specialist at GroundInn.

André Philippe Lauer is one of the community catalysts for the Barcelona local hub of L&D Shakers. In the past 13 years as a Learning Experience Designer, he has focused on experiences that create connection, whether building a new virtual platform for the Girl Scouts or running an internal trainer community at a tech company.
