About Event

A space where we come together and create… or make …or write, or play.

Unlike a workshop or lesson where we’re working on or creating the same thing, we open this session for those who want time to do their creative practice, work on a creative project, or simply explore their art in the company of others.

This session is less about the outcome and more about having space to play with creativity.

Parallel Play is a place where non-verbal connection is expressed. We create, individually, but alongside each other. No judgement, no critiquing, but a celebration of having spent time creating.

You don’t have to have a project in mind.

You can come as you are, with whatever you have and go from there.

What to expect:

  • We will welcome everyone - a brief moment of arrival and connection. We will invite you to introduce yourself and share what you plan to do in the session.

  • We can also provide gentle guidance to help inspire and motivate a creative practice or exercise if needed.

  • We will then spend 90 mins crafting, creating, making individually, whilst sitting and being together, side-by-side.

  • To close the session we will invite people to share whatever they want to about their creative journey during the session, and reflect on their process.

This is a 2-hour online session.

What to bring:

  • Anything to support your creativity!

  • Tools and materials - things you usually use, things you’d love to use more.

  • You might have books, music, food and drink in mind to support your practice.
