BESS Industry Forum: Developing sustainable “Ready and Needed” BESS projects
With NESO's shift to a "ready and needed" grid connections model, projects must now meet both the Gate 2 readiness criteria (secured land or planning consent) and alignment with the Clean Power 2030 capacity targets. As a result, BESS projects will need to be not just ready, but also strategically positioned to secure a queue place.
We are delighted to invite you to a joint EnergyPro & Fieldfisher industry forum bringing together industry leaders to explore the challenges and opportunities shaping BESS projects today.
Highlights will include:
Adam Terry (Harmattan Renewables) on identifying the right location, size and battery duration for the next phase of BESS projects.
Becca Aughey (Greener) on how temporary batteries help to save cost and emissions.
Davide Cabrini (Opoura/Novogrid) on how Battery Storage projects should navigate the new grid queue.
Jonny Riggall (Blue Dot Energy & Environment) on effectively managing the sustainability requirements of battery storage developments.
Richard Power (Fieldfisher) on the potential increase in litigation risk linked to grid connection.
A panel Q&A closing out the day.
This is the official pre-summit networking evening for the Battery Asset Management Summit UK & Ireland, taking place 13-14 October at the Leonardo Royal Hotel St Paul's, a short walk away.
