Speakers:
Sarmad Qadri, CEO of LastMile AI (backed by Google Ventures)
LastMile AI provides infrastructure for building, testing, and deploying generative AI applications. Previously, Sarmad was an engineering leader at Meta AI, responsible for ML experimentation and model management platforms.
He also helped build Facebook's Jupyter notebook platform, and prior to that worked on compilers, build systems, and IDEs at Microsoft. He graduated with a BMath in Computer Science from University of Waterloo.
Alex Chung, Founding Head of Growth at Goodword
Goodword is an AI-powered networking copilot helping people stay connected more meaningfully. Recently raised $4 million to scale its mission.
Alex previously worked in VC at Chai Ventures and Decibel, advising early-stage founders on growth and community.
A UChicago & Booth alum, Alex is also a marathon runner and storyteller exploring the intersection of tech, trust, and human connection.

About the Host
Tabarak Rehman lives in NYC and works in Turnaround & Restructuring at AlixPartners. In Dec 2024, he ran 1,000 miles across Pakistan in 35 days to raise awareness about 26 million out-of-school children in Pakistan.
