About Event

As artificial intelligence promises new ways to understand the world, answer complex questions, and navigate uncertainty, a fundamental question emerges: What do we believe in times of AI?

This edition of AI Salon Zurich invites us to explore the intersections of artificial intelligence, faith, and the human search for meaning. What happens when we turn to AI for answers to questions that extend beyond what can be measured or calculated? What do we want AI to solve for us, and where should we draw the line? And how can religious and philosophical traditions help us navigate the promises and contradictions of AI?

From AI-powered spiritual companions and robot monks to questions of human dignity, transcendence, and technological power, we will explore how AI is reshaping our understanding of what it means to be human, and what we choose to believe in.

Rather than seeking definitive answers, this salon creates space for different worldviews to meet, challenge one another, and reflect on the questions that matter.

Format

AI Salon Zurich is a curated, moderated dialogue bringing together people from different disciplines and backgrounds to explore the cultural, ethical, and societal implications of artificial intelligence.

Rather than panels or presentations, the salon creates an intimate setting for thoughtful exchange, active listening, and constructive disagreement.

This edition is bilingual. English- and German-speaking participants are warmly welcome. You can contribute to the discussion in either language.

A festive end-of-year gathering

As the year draws to a close, we'll come together at jenseits im Viadukt, a space for culture, spirituality, and sustainability in Zurich, to share perspectives, explore open questions, and enjoy a festive apéro.

Whether you approach AI through technology, theology, philosophy, art, or personal curiosity, you are welcome to join the conversation. No particular religious belief or technical expertise is required, just an openness to different perspectives and a willingness to think together.

Participation & Registration

The event is free of charge. As places are limited, please register in advance and indicate your motivation and background.

Voluntary donations are welcome to support the ongoing work of AI Salon Zurich and the development of the Zurich chapter.

Festlicher Jahresausklang
