About Event

You’re invited to a focused roundtable convened by the AEG NY26Q1 Task Force to advance practical solutions for critical infrastructure resilience, equity, and affordability through the lens of community participation.

This facilitated working session brings together grid asset owners, community stakeholders, regulators, nonprofits, environmental advocates, and private sector leaders to advance implementation priorities across New York’s infrastructure ecosystem.

As the next stage of the energy transition accelerates, geothermal heat pumps and networks, battery energy storage systems (BESS), zoning constraints, interconnection bottlenecks, and rapid infrastructure deployment are creating new tensions across communities and institutions. Emerging need for Nuclear literacy is beginning to take shape.

This roundtable will host an open discussion on the challenges, fears, and resistance shaping deployment—while bringing stakeholders together to build a more informed and collaborative narrative for responsible energy transition.

Let’s face it: we are all in this together as one community.

Let’s gather, listen, and learn how to build on what we already know—so we can do this right.

What distinguishes this event is its emphasis on action.
Following the discussion, participants will break into moderated working groups led by sector leaders to translate insights into practical strategies and near-term action.
