About Event

A critical discourse on how zero-knowledge proofs, account abstraction, and confidential execution layers replace public, leak-prone financial infrastructure. This aligns perfectly with the Ethereum CROPS values of Censorship Resistance, Open Source, Privacy, and Security.

Session 0: Road to Devcon & Ecosystem Opportunities. An introduction to the Devcon 8 global conference in Mumbai, the Ethereum Ecosystem Support Program, and how student builders can leverage these initiatives. We will cover grant opportunities, the broader open-source ecosystem.

Speakers Include

  • Satyaki KC - Devcon

Session 1: Foundations of Confidential DeFi. This session explores the transition from standard public dApps to shielded state execution. We will discuss the threat models of frontrunning and metadata leaks, and how stealth mechanics mitigate predatory value extraction.

Speakers Include

  • Anany Rai - Tech Lead, Programming Club (IITK)

  • Vishu Khare - Tech Lead, Programming Club (IITK)

Session 2: Theoretical Foundations of Zero-Knowledge Proofs. This academic keynote will examine the mathematical primitives behind ZK systems, exploring interactive proof systems, verifiable computation, and the transition to non-interactive zero-knowledge (NIZK).

Speakers Include

  • Anany Rai - Tech Lead, Programming Club (IITK)

Session 3: Technical Deep Dive & Hackathon Launch. A hands-on technical breakdown of ZK-circuits, the Kohaku SDK, and ERC-4337 stealth mechanics to prepare builders for the 72-hour Confidential Finance Hackathon tracks.

Speakers Include

  • Anany Rai - Tech Lead, Programming Club (IITK)

Who Should Attend

This workshop is designed to bridge the gap between curiosity and core development. You do not need prior Web3 experience to attend. Whether you are a beginner exploring the space or an advanced developer, there is a track for you:

  • The Explorers (Beginners Welcome): If you are simply curious about how decentralized systems work and want to learn how to secure one of the $25 Indian Student tickets for Devcon 8 in Mumbai. Come for the introductory talk and the free food!

  • Competitive Programmers: If you spend your time optimizing algorithms and graph traversals, come see how those exact logic puzzles apply to mitigating frontrunning and executing high-frequency trades on-chain.

  • Systems & Math Enthusiasts: If you love low-level memory architecture (C++/Rust) or theoretical math, you will find a natural home in our sessions on zero-knowledge cryptography and memory-safe execution.

  • Existing Web2/Web3 Developers: Anyone who has built basic apps or scripts and wants to level up to architecting robust, privacy-preserving infrastructure.
