About Event

NYC Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) will meet with the CUSP students to receive a guided tour of the expansive green roof at the Brooklyn Naval Yard. Afterwards, DEP will take the students on a walking tour to some of our nearby ROW rain gardens and a nearby school which we partnered with for SW management in their playgrounds. DEP can discuss the stormwater challenges our green infrastructure assets are designed to solve, the programs they are associated with, and DEP’s work broadly.

Meeting Point: CUSP Entrance, 370 Jay Street Floor 13, at 12:30 PM (weather permitting)

Please note that the site visit has limited capacity and priority is given to students currently enrolled in either Civic Analytics or Innovative City Governance. Registrants will be notified if they are selected to participate.

Location

Brooklyn Navy Yard
