Kidical Mass "Winter Joy Ride" - Dec. 13, 2025
Kidical Mass invites you to join us for our Winter Joy Ride as part of the City of Berkeley's Winter Youth Festival at Aquatic Park on Bolivar Drive, Saturday, December 13 (12:00 --4:00 pm). We'll ride over the Berkeley pedestrian bridge and onto the Bay Trail. Roll up to the starting point at Street Level Cycles in Aquatic Park at 1:15 for a 1:30 start, which will give you plenty of time to do the ride and return to the Park and enjoy the rest of the festival.
As usual, our ride will be guided by KM's volunteer corker team.
When you sign up, please be sure to include all the participants who will be joining us from your household, parents and kids. Thanks!
The Winter Youth Festival is a chance to celebrate Berkeley’s Youth and the winter season at Aquatic Park. More information about the event can be found at this City of Berkeley link. Activities will include:
A Fun Run, a 2.3-mile course around Aquatic Park
Winter-themed games and activities
Food trucks
Environmentally-focused activities
A preview of summer camp offerings for 2026 at the Recreation Division’s booth
Community organization and city department booths showcasing their services
About KM bike rides:
A Kidical Mass bike ride is a large group ride for kids of all ages, family members, and supporters. We choose an easy route that anyone can ride, and ride as a pack for safety and fun. While everyone rides at their own risk, we have guides to help keep the group together and block traffic at intersections.
The rides are free. All are welcome. The rides have an easy pace and are "no drop" rides, meaning no one will be left behind.
Making Kidical Mass safe: As consideration for being allowed to participate in East Bay Kidical Mass, all participants are deemed to have released from liability and waived any right to sue its organizers, their employees, officers, volunteers and agents from any and all claims, including claims of negligence, resulting in any physical injury, illness (including death) or economic loss suffered as a result of participating in this East Bay Kidical Mass. By participating in an East Bay Kidical Mass event, each participant understands that there are risks, such as physical and/or psychological injury, pain, suffering, illness, disfigurement, temporary or permanent disability, death or economic loss. These injuries or outcomes may arise from a participant’s or other’s actions, inactions, or negligence, or the condition of the location(s) or facility(ies). Nonetheless, participants assume all known and unknown risks of participation in East Bay Kidical Mass.
