

Ilm Class with Afraz Khan
Berkeley Muslim Life is hosting Hafiz Afraz Khan, one of our three finalists for the Director of Muslim Life opening, for a halaqa/ilm class on the topic of 'Lessons from the Seerah: Our Political Moment'.
Hafiz Afraz Khan works at the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU), leading legislative advocacy campaigns to build legal protections around immigration and free speech. He teaches weekly Qur'anic reflection classes at the Lighthouse Mosque and volunteers as a chaplain for incarcerated populations. Afraz is currently a seminary student at The Majlis in their Community Servants Program.
Hafiz Afraz holds a B.A. in International Relations from New York University and received his M.B.A. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley in 2023.
