Humans have been drumming and dancing in ceremony since before recorded history. Collective Pulse is an immersive two-hour percussion experience designed to tap into that ancient energy and bring it into the present.
We move through the natural layers of rhythm—starting with the individual heartbeat, expanding into the shared group mind, and finally locking into a high-energy soundscape of modern electronic music.

The Individual: Explore the fundamentals of rhythm. Discover the unique voices of various drums and handheld percussion to find your own pulse.
The Collective: Move from individual play into the art of the "group mind." Learn to listen, respond, and contribute to a pulse larger than any single player.
The Electronic: Lock into the pocket. Experience the thrill of blending live human energy with the precision of a live-mixed, percussion-forward electronic soundscape.
What to Expect
Instruments Provided: A diverse range of drums will be available (or bring your own).
All Levels: Whether you’re a lifelong drummer or have never touched a skin, this is facilitated so everyone finds their place in the pocket.

Collective Pulse was born as both an ecstatic dance ceremony and event theme for Toronto Tantra Festival 2024, exploring the living rhythm that emerges when invidivuals gather in presence, connection, and shared awareness.
