Making Student Thinking Visible in AI-Integrated Classrooms

​As AI becomes part of how students learn, one of the most pressing challenges educators face is whether anyone can see how students are thinking alongside it.

​This session introduces FutureSkills’ judgment-based framework for making student reasoning visible, inspectable, and developable in classrooms where AI is already present. Drawing directly on a six-week pilot at a Title I transfer high school in NYC, we’ll explore practical tools educators can implement in their classrooms immediately, including an AI usage tracker, a peer-review protocol grounded in human accountability, and a values-driven approach to helping students own their choices.

​This session is designed for educators, instructional coaches, and school leaders in grades 6 through 12 who are seriously considering what AI literacy looks like in practice.
