Tech Career Discovery Programme 2.0 (TCDP 2.0)

Explore your options. Discover what’s possible. Find your next step in tech.

Getting into tech can feel overwhelming when there are so many career paths to choose from and so many different opinions about where to start.

The Tech Career Discovery Programme (TCDP) was created by Techies Haven to help you make sense of those options, explore different areas of technology, and discover career paths you may not have considered.

Our first edition brought together 79 participants from 9 countries and 18 tech professionals for conversations about careers, opportunities and getting started in tech.

Now, TCDP is entering its next chapter.

On Saturday, 14 November 2026, we're hosting TCDP 2.0 in Liverpool for our first physical Techies Haven event, with a virtual option for those joining from elsewhere.

This is an opportunity to go beyond scrolling through career lists and trying to figure everything out on your own. You'll have the chance to hear from people working in tech, ask questions, explore different career paths, connect with others on a similar journey, and get a clearer idea of what your next step could be.

What can you look forward to?

• Conversations with professionals across different areas of technology

• Career discovery sessions to help you explore your options

• Practical and interactive experiences

• Opportunities to ask questions, make connections and learn from others

• A chance to reflect on what interests you and what you might want to explore next

The experience will include in-person activities in Liverpool, alongside a virtual option for those who cannot attend physically. Further details on the programme and online participation will be shared as we get closer to the event.

Who should attend?

TCDP 2.0 is for you if you're:

• Curious about a career in tech but unsure where to begin

• A student or graduate exploring your options

• Considering a career switch into technology

• Early in your tech journey and looking to understand the wider industry

• Interested in discovering roles beyond the ones you already know

You don't need to have chosen a career path, learned a technical skill or have everything figured out before attending.

Come with your questions, your curiosity and an open mind.

You don't have to leave with your entire career mapped out. We want you to leave with more clarity, new connections and a better idea of what to explore next.

We look forward to having you with us.
