Breaking the Financing Bottleneck in Aviation Decarbonisation
Aviation decarbonisation is entering a decisive phase. Policy mandates are now creating demand for sustainable aviation fuels, project pipelines are developing, and evidence on aviation’s non-CO₂ climate impacts is strengthening. Yet capital is not flowing fast enough to scale the solutions needed.
Closed-door session to unlock decarbonisation initiatives via the capital side. This closed-door discussion, organized together by Environmental Defense Fund and Systemiq, will bring together a very small group of financial institutions, aviation and fuel-sector experts, SAF developers, public finance practitioners and policy specialists to discuss the practical tools investors need to assess aviation decarbonisation opportunities and accelerate initiatives, capital deployment and financing of solutions.
We will have a moderated, and very open discussion, in which we will focus on three linked questions:
What are important barriers and needs to accelerate capital deployment in aviation decarbonisation?
Which financial institutions are best placed to shape the market? What knowledge is needed to drive increased capital deployment?
What examples do you have to drive accelerated capital deployment?
This is an invite-only roundtable with limited capacity. Registrations will be reviewed to ensure a focused, constructive discussion among participants with relevant expertise or decision-making roles.
