​What is Startup Leadership Sparring? And is it for you?

​You are a founder or in a (soon-to-be) leadership position in tech and gaming. You have specific leadership challenges you’re facing or want to further hone your leadership skills - by exploring and experimenting together with your peers from other companies in a supervised environment. This is exactly the space for you.

​Why the boxing metaphor?

​Just as leadership, (successful) boxing requires countless skills and even more experience. And one of the best ways to learn and advance in this direction is sparring: a training fight with limited intensity in a safe environment, supervised by an experienced trainer. Sparring is not about trying to knock somebody out or winning. It’s - above all - not about ego. What it is about is giving each other time and space to learn, be challenged and experiment – without having to fear a knockout.

Translated into the Startup Leadership Sparring, this means:

​→ We go with the challenges that are important to YOU and to the other participants

​→ We are being open, willing to share and learn

​→ We don’t stop at generic leadership sayings - we dive into specific, actionable ideas

​→ We don’t judge or ridicule (= verbal knockout) - we are curious and want to understand

​→ We respect each other’s limits
