Source Code #2 — London meetup for journalists and technologists
What is it?
Source Code is an in-person meetup and networking event for anyone interested in the intersection of journalism and technology. If you’ve been to Hacks/Hackers LDN before, you’ll recognise the vibe: open, practical, and focused on sharing what actually works (and what doesn’t) in news and tech.
Whether you’re coding tools for newsrooms, experimenting with AI, launching media startups, or simply passionate about storytelling in the digital age, Source Code is your community. Expect talks, hands-on demos, collaborative problem-solving, and plenty of opportunities to swap ideas with peers who get it.
On the agenda
"2 humans, 50 agents: Welcome to the AI newsroom" with Peter Stuart and Danny Bellion, Co-founders of Velora Digital
"The report that writes itself: Turning data into editorial action" with Maya Ninel, Head of Editorial Impact, The i Paper
"Against expectations: What surprised me from the 2026 Digital News Report" by Jim Egan, Senior Research Associate, Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism
“Beyond the pilot: what does real AI adoption look like inside the BBC?” by Nathalie Malinarich, Executive Editor for Digital Development and AI, BBC News
