"What Is (A) Digital Arts Institute?": A provocation with A(DAI), Nguyen Wahed, ArtMeta and 100 collectors.
Join us for the invite-only soft launch of (A) Digital Arts Institute, or A(DAI), at Art Basel with Nguyen Wahed, ArtMeta and 100 collectors.
An open dialogue and provocation on the digital arts at a pivotal moment: its histories, emerging futures, and the plurality of voices, practices, and cultures shaping the field.
We ask:
- How might we define the digital arts?
- How can we collectively tell the rich story of its evolving canon?
- How might we fully celebrate and represent its plurality?
Rooftop drinks and hors d'oeuvres on the riverside Rooftop of B1 Bistro, 12–2pm. By invitation only.

A(DAI) is a new approach to using native technologies to allow the digital arts to continuously tell its story across time and cultures by building a shared commons.
Nguyen Wahed is a contemporary art gallery dedicated to exploring the relationships between human, natural, and digital. The program features artists whose practices span multiple media and conceptual frameworks through idiosyncratic commentaries on societal changes. Whether through algorithmic constructs, painterly or enveloping installations, they cultivate a space where established narratives are deconstructed, and new dialogues emerge.
ArtMeta is a curatorial platform for digital art, contributing to its historical, critical and cultural contextualization through exhibitions, conferences, publications and institutional collaborations.
100 collectors is the global network for digital art collectors. Through conversations with artists, curated events, and shared knowledge, the network brings collectors together to explore and navigate the art ecosystem.
By connecting collectors with artists and people actively shaping the field, 100 collectors creates a trusted environment where learning about art, engaging with creators, and discovering new ideas becomes more accessible, engaging, and enjoyable.
