​Remember getting lost in a book as a kid, then grabbing a pencil and drawing whatever it sparked? Good news: you’re still allowed to do that.

​Bring a physical book and we’ll read together, separately. Then we’ll trade words for charcoal and see where our imaginations go.

​11:00am Hellos and settling in
11:15am Sink into your book
12:00pm Social break
12:15pm Charcoal time (bring your own tools, or use our sketchbook and charcoal pencils)
1:00pm Back to society

​FAQs:

​I can’t draw. Should I still come?
Especially you. This isn’t an art class. Stick figures, scribbles, and one very confident tree all count. Nobody is grading.

​What am I supposed to draw?
A scene your book sparked, a stray thought, or wherever the charcoal takes you.

​What should I bring?
A physical book, plus your own sketchbook if you have a favorite. Wear clothes that can handle smudges.

​Can I bring my Kindle or an audiobook?
Highly recommend being fully paper this time.
