Community Zine Making Workshop for Youth @ sister dreamer.

​Join ISM for a free hands-on zine-making workshop where participants will learn the basics of independent publishing while creating their own original mini publication. Led by ISM, an independent publisher dedicated to making books and art more accessible through community-driven projects, the workshop introduces participants to the power of print as a tool for creativity, storytelling, and self-expression.

​The workshop begins with a short introduction to the history and importance of print and zine culture, followed by a guided creative prompt centered around the theme "What Makes Your Community?" Through drawing, writing, collage, and storytelling, participants will create a one-of-a-kind zine that reflects their own experiences and perspective.

​No previous art or writing experience is needed, just bring your imagination.

​At the end of the workshop, each participant will leave with their own handmade zine and the experience of becoming a published creator. Select works will be showcased during Hard Copy, ISM's quarterly market celebrating independent artists, publishers, and creative communities on Sept 5 @ sister dreamer.
